spiritual care

hospice chapel

The Hospice ethos of caring for the whole person recognises the importance of spiritual care.

Support is provided to patients, staff and volunteers regardless of belief by a team of dedicated Chaplains who themselves work on a voluntary basis. Regular multi-faith services are held in the Hospice Chapel.

Being diagnosed with a life limiting illness and learning to live with that illness is always immensely challenging. Even if you don’t have a particular faith or set of beliefs your illness may lead you to ask questions about why this is happening to you. People who are able to talk through these issues often gain a great feeling of support and can find a way to come to terms with their situation.
