Our Karting Day takes place at the Three Sisters Race Circuit in Ashton-in-Makerfield. The Three Sisters Recreation Area was created around thirty years ago out of three giant colliery spoil tips (they were locally known as the 'Three Sisters' or 'Wigan Alps').

The track is accredited to stage international karting events, and is one of the most challenging race circuits in the UK. It features an exciting blend of low- and high-speed corners.

This is a great fun day out. We can accommodate around twenty teams of up to four people per team, competing for fun.

The event begins with registration and essential safety briefing. After kitting out and entering the pit lane, the first drivers take to their seats in the 70mph superkarts. The practice session gives everyone the opportunity to get familiar with their kart before the flag is waved to start the two-hour race.

The winners will be the team to complete the most laps in the time allowed. Last year, our Karting Day raised over £3,000 for the hospice - a great contribution to helping us provide free care. (You can see some photographs of this year's event on our Flickr photostream.)

The day normally starts at 1:00pm and costs £200 per team.
