You and your colleagues can provide care and support to local people in Wigan and Leigh living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses.

Strengthen your team, engage in your local community and make a positive impression through a partnership with Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Partnership opportunities

Our partnerships are individual to each business which partners with us. We want to work with you to achieve mutual outcomes.

  • Sponsorship opportunities for a Wigan and Leigh Hospice charity fundraising event
  • Make the Hospice your Charity of the Year
  • Workplace fundraising – host your own fundraising event, providing plenty of fun for employees and clients
  • Cause-related marketing – donate a proportion of profits from a product to Wigan and Leigh Hospice
  • Donate goods that can be used, sold or raffled to raise essential funds to keep hospice services going
  • Donate services from your business – do you provide a service that could benefit the patients or hospice?
  • Volunteer at the hospice and make a direct impact on our patients

Every pound your company raises is valuable to people living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses in our community.

£480 pays for one patient to receive care from our dedicated nursing and medical teams on our inpatient unit for one day

£980 is the cost of providing nutritious homemade meals for every inpatient for a week

£7,769 pays for the entire average cost of an inpatient stay for one patient providing vital care and support at a difficult time

£10,000 pays for the whole hospice to run for a day supporting local patients and those people closest to them

Without the support we have had from the staff we would have just crumbled.

Plus there are many benefits to businesses who choose to partner with the hospice, from fulfilling Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), to boosting employee engagement and customer satisfaction, and ensuring your company makes the right impression.

Carole Nash Insurance Consultants

Colleagues of a Hindley dad who was cared for at Wigan and Leigh Hospice honoured his memory by helping us to put in place all 60 of our 5000 Lights trees in the hospice gardens in November 2021.

Teams from Carole Nash Insurance Consultants spent 2 days helping out and also sponsored two 5000 Lights trees in Graham Baker's name.

Graham was just 47 years old when he passed away.

Since then Carole Nash have held several events in Graham’s memory in support of the hospice.

Friend and colleague Paul Greenwood said: “He was cared for brilliantly at the hospice and that’s why we want to help.

“Graham met most of us through working together at Carole Nash Insurance but he very quickly went from being a colleague to a good friend of each one of us in a very short space of time.

“He was probably the most popular guy at work - one of those people whom everybody liked. He was always (even in difficult times) hugely engaging, friendly, kind, welcoming and positive. Graham’s personality was infectious – he was everyone’s ‘go-to’ person if you needed to be cheered up.

“He was an amazing friend, dad, son and partner and he had loads of hobbies - although not one of them topped his love of music and of Sunderland FC. Graham would also take any opportunity he could to tell you the worst jokes in existence, always laughing hysterically at them while nobody else found them funny in the slightest!

“Graham died aged 47 but he left an eternity of happy memories and a legacy to be proud of.”
