
KILIMANJARO HERE WE COME
Friends and family of former patient Dawn Lewis are organising a number of fundraising events to raise money for Wigan & Leigh Hospice in her memory.
A few extra steps to the top of Mount Killimanjaro are being undertaken by brother Michael Meadows, step-father Chris Cunliffe and friends Lisa Williams, Gareth Waudby, Carl Redford and Gareth Hayes. They are planning to cover the £500 per head costs, by personal donation and corporate support.

BACKGROUND
Dawn Lewis was a 31 year old Leigh lady who was cared for by the Hospice. She was a rugby supporter and a former Physio for Leigh East Amateur Rugby League Club.
Dawn’s brother Michael Meadows said, “We want to raise as much money as we can for the Hospice because of the wonderful way they looked after her and supported us.Their dignity, respect and tender loving care gave us some highly cherished time and it’s our way of saying thank you for taking those extra steps."
