Can you help? Many people, organisations and companies very generously support the Hospice. However, maintaining a local Hospice presence 'on the ground' and in communities is difficult - and SUPPORT GROUPS are a great way to achieve that.
Being part of Support Group will bring you new friends, social contacts, links with others in your Community and FUN.
Raising one and a half million pounds every year is a significant challenge for the Hospice and we would like to set up a Volunteer Support Group in your area.
We welcome groups, companies, associations and individuals who are willing to be part of a volunteer team to maintain a Hospice presence in your locality and also help us to raise funds.
You don't need any special skills or abilities, just a willingness to give a little of your time.
In other areas of the country such groups support their Hospice in all manner of ways, from organising local collections, coffee mornings, picnics, sponsored walks, dances, fashion shows etc. You decide how much or how little you want to do.
Others help in leaflet distribution to promote Hospice events and activities, distributing collecting tins to shops, offices, pubs etc.
Why not have a Hospice Loose change box at home and encourage your friends, family, neighbours and colleagues to have one as well . These simple measures all help.
If you are willing to be part of our extended 'family' in promoting the Hospice and fundraising in your locality. Click this link to email us for more information on how you can make a difference.
