corporate sponsorship

Whether a business or organisation, sponsoring Wigan & Leigh Hospice will not only ensure your contribution is used exclusively for the support of local people; we can, if desired, endeavour to create additional profile and publicity. Supporting Wigan & Leigh Hospice can bring excellent PR benefits and can be more cost-effective than many other methods of advertising.

Throughout each year there are various excellent ways to benefit from supporting the Hospice by sponsorship.

Our packages provide good promotional opportunities. some are activity based, others, such as our annual 'Light for a Life Appeal' provide Borough-wide exposure. We are very appreciative of every kind of support, whether financial or manpower related. A selection of opportunities are shown on this page and other areas of the site.

STAFF DEVELOPMENT

Training and developing staff skills are an essential part of keeping ahead of the game; especially in the current economic climate. Instead of using ‘fictitious’ training scenarios, why not ask your staff to organise an event/project/activity to develop organisational skills, initiative, team building, bonding, time-management, sales, self-confidence - and any of the other essential business skills that will benefit your company. Decide on the skills you want to highlight and devise a project that encompasses them, enquire if there is a current Hospice project in which they could become involved or simply contact us for ideas and suggestions.

Working on a 'real' project with real objectives will incentivise and interest your staff, ensuring active participation and the learning of skills, increased self-confidences and team-building etc.

Additional advantages include the PR benefits of supporting your local community.

As 25% of the population die of cancer every year, there is a significant chance that some of your staff have, or will know someone who has, experienced the services provided by the Hospice.

Why not speak to us about ideas that will not only achieve your objectives, but help us at the same time. Raising £1.5 million every year from charitable sources is something of a challenge!
