staff development
Staff training and incentive solutions play a vital part in increasing staff knowledge and motivation. Other benefits include improving staff retention, operational quality and efficiency.
Knowledgeable, trained and incentivised staff are the life-blood of every organisation. Inexperienced, untrained and de-motivated staff are a liability.
Many companies invest heavily in training and incentive programmes, often creating ‘dummy’ projects. But there are various ways that the same result can be obtained, whilst at the same time supporting the Hospice.
These include the development of :
- Planning skills
- Organisational skills
- Telephone skills
- Bonding exercises and events
- Confidence building
- Team building
- Administration
- Account management
- Man management
- Personal development
- Encouraging service to the Community
- Volunteering
- Having FUN
and more…
Whatever the nature of your organisation, however large or small; whatever area of staff or personal development you undertake; your organisation can benefit from adapting your existing projects or developing new ones. They will not only help your local Hospice, but improve your standing in the Community, with your staff, and improve Public Relations.
Some examples :-
EVENT ORGANISATION
A whole range of skills are used in conceiving, planning, organising, promoting and administering fund-raising activities and events. Many of which employ identical skills to those you want your staff to develop. Some also encourage the learning of new skills, often with an enthusiasm that might not otherwise be so easy to generate. Projects can be as simple or complicated as you wish.
VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering engenders a positive attitude and spirit, as well as sometimes taking people out of their ‘comfort zone’.Thus building confidence and widening experience.
BONDING
What better than a day chasing around one of the Country’s leading Karting/racing circuits – and on your own doorstep?Maybe with a special incentive to drive a Ferrari around a race track! - Perhaps taking part in a sponsored walk, bike ride or other activity. The only limit is imagination.
IF YOUR STAFF ARE HAVING FUN – SO WILL YOU.
