'Light for a Life' provides and opportunity to celebrate the life our loved ones by dedicating a light to go on the giant Christmas tree in the Hospice grounds over the Christmas period. All dedications are also entered into a book that is on permanent display in the Hospice Chapel. DEDICATIONS ARE ACCEPTED UNTIL THE TWELFTH NIGHT AFTER CHRISTMAS

We would like to express our appreciation to the thousands of people who have again suported our Light for a Life Appeal in 2009. Despite the difficult economic climate, the appeal raised a record equalling £55,000 in donations from members of the public.

Once printed, this year's Books of Dedication will be on permanent display in the Hospice Chapel, together with all those since the scheme began in 1997.

If you did not dedicate any lights this year, the appeal will be run again in 2010 during the months of November and December.
