The Voluntary Services Department, through its team of volunteers, strengthens and complements the work of the Hospice in all areas.
You don't need specialist skills. Appropriate training is given, according the area in which you wish to help.
However, if you do have specialist skills, experience or service that you are able to volunteer; either as an individual, or through your company/organisation; please let us know.
As a local charity, we have budgetary constraints and welcome support in the form of professional expertise or services.
Hospice Chief Executive Stuart Liptrot says “Without the valuable time and talents of our volunteers, the Hospice could not function as efficiently as our patients need. Nor could we offer the nature and level of services they require.”
Over 100,000 hours are freely given by our volunteers every year!
