About the role
As a Healthcare Assistant you will deliver a high quality, holistic, palliative and end of life nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse/Assistant Practitioner. As the successful candidate, you will have previous experience within a care setting and knowledge of palliative care and nursing patients at end of life. Experience of community nursing is advantageous.

You will provide emotional, spiritual and practical support to patients in their normal place of residence and therefore must be able to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, hold a full UK driving license and have access to a vehicle for work, which you must have insured for business use.
This role is part of the Hospice in your Home team – although whilst working in a patient’s place of residence you will be working alone, therefore you must possess excellent organisational and decision making skills.
You will hold RQF Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent in Level 2 in Health and Social Care as a minimum, be required to adhere to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Workers and we will support your personal development by supporting you through the Care Certificate. Palliative care experience is essential in order to apply for this role, which will need to be demonstrated within your application form.

The available role
We have one permanent role available, working 30 hours per week on internal rotation over 7 days a week within our Hospice in your Home Team.
Salary: £18,564 – £21,209 per annum (pro rata of £22,896 – £26,158 per annum)
