£30,752-£34,636 per annum (pro rata)

About us

Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a well-established charity which has been operating since 1983. We provide a wide range of palliative care services to people with advancing life-limiting illnesses of any diagnosis and to those people important to them. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals’ physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs.

About the role

As a Staff Nurse you will work closely with managers and colleagues to ensure that the service delivers high quality, evidence based specialist palliative care to patients and their families, with care, compassion and dignity.

Suitable candidates will hold a first level registered general nurse qualification, experience of delivering holistic care within a similar setting and palliative care experience.
A recognised post-registration palliative care qualification is desirable.

A Disclosure and Barring Services Check (DBS) will be required.

Existing membership of the NHS pension scheme may be transferable to this post, if contributions have been made within the last 12 months.

The available role           

This is a permanent position working either 38.5 hours per week (full time) or 33 hours per week (part time), on permanent nights. The salary range for this post is paid equally over 12 months and there are no additional enhancements, as this is already calculated within the annual salary.
