The knockout competition attracted an audience of over 80 people in all age groups, including senior members of the English Table Tennis Association, who presented the trophy of a memorial tankard and £100 cash to the winner from Liverpool.

Steve added, "In addition to the senior members, the club has around 50 regular young players.  Some of the 11 and 12 year olds play in the National League."
