Janet Baldwin, from Marsh Green, arranged a party on what should have been her husband Tony Baldwin's 60th birthday on December 5th.

Dad and granddad Tony died aged 59 on April 30th after spending almost two days being cared for in the Hindley hospice.

Janet said: "It would have been Tony's birthday on the 5th so I decided I couldn't let it go without a celebration for him and I thought I'd raise some money for the Hospice.
"Those two days he spent in the Hospice were the best days of his illness because he was pain-free and as a family we got to spend some quality time with him. They were so good with him and I felt it was time to pay that back.
"People have donated money in the past, which gave my husband two days of peace, so I want to do the same for someone else."

The celebration featuring a singer, raffle and auction was held at the Honeysuckle in Poolstock for friends and family on Friday, December 5th.
