'Buy Me Now' returns

12 September 2014

CUSTOMERS at a shop in Shevington will able to buy clothes worn by the assistants for one day only.

Buy Me Now

Volunteers at Wigan and Leigh Hospice's shop on Gathurst Lane will be modelling donated clothing throughout the day on Monday, September 15th and will invite customers to 'Buy Me Now'.

Once an outfit has been sold the volunteer shop assistants will quickly change into another outfit for sale.

Volunteers at the Shevington shop had the idea to hold a Buy Me Now event in 2013 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Hospice when they raised more than £800.

Retail Assistant Barbara Holme said: "We are lucky enough to get some beautiful high quality items of clothing donated to the Hospice and this is a great way to show them off.
"Our volunteers did a brilliant job last year of putting outfits together and modelling them while still managing to run the shop. We hope that people will come out to support us once again and help us raise hundreds of pounds for the Hospice."

Wigan and Leigh Hospice needs to raise £7,400 every day and the 13 shops around the borough play a significant role in helping us reach our fundraising target.

The Hospice relies on donations from local residents and around 400 volunteers who run all of the shops including the Ebay shop.
