Cohens Chemist in Lowton supports Hospice

A pharmacy team from Lowton has raised over £850 for Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Pharmacist Greg Cox, from Cohens Chemist on Braithwaite Road in Lowton, took part in a sponsored triathlon in August and the team also collected money from a collection tin at branch.

The fundraising effort was part of the Cohens Group's 35 years in business celebrations and to mark the Lowton team's success, its Directors sent a £350 contribution from head office.Cohens Chemist in Lowton supports Hospice

Greg Cox said: "I have been absolutely overwhelmed by everyone's support and would like to say a big thank you to all our patients and customers who have donated over the past year. It really means a lot to me and the team and we are proud to make this donation to the Hospice."

Alan Baron, Chief Executive at Wigan and Leigh Hospice, said: "We are extremely grateful to Cohens Chemist in Lowton for their generous donation, which will help us to continue providing expert palliative care to over 1000 patients with life-limiting illnesses every year."
