Freemasons present £3,000 to Wigan and Leigh Hospice

25 January 2016

Over £3,000 has been donated by Wigan and Leigh Freemasons to support members of our local community who are receiving care and support from Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

The donation has come from the Freemasons Grand Charity, which enables local Freemasons Lodges to donate funds to their local Hospices.

An additional £200 was also presented to the Hospice by the Freemasons' Makerfield Lodge in Leigh, which they had collected from membership donations.

Christine Edwardson, Community Fundraiser, said: "On behalf of the patients, staff and volunteers at the Hospice I would like to say a big thank you to the Freemasons of Wigan and Leigh for donating such a significant amount of money to the Hospice through their Grand Charity."
