Roll up, roll up to the Hospice this Sunday

03 May 2016

This Sunday (8 May), Wigan and Leigh Hospice will transform into a market place, offering local families a great day out, while raising money for the Hospice.

A Farmers Market will be held in the car park between 9am and 3pm and a Summer Jumble Sale will take place inside the Hospice, on Kildare Street in Hindley, between 10am and 2pm.

Over 40 market stalls, including fresh meats, fruit, veg, plants, crafts, jams, cakes, pies and sweets will be there, as well as other games and activities, such as hook a duck, bird house decorating for kids and a tombola.

Hot and cold refreshments, including pizzas, waffles, Thai food, vintage cream teas and coffee will also be available for visitors to enjoy on the day.

Inside, the Hospice will host its second Jumble Sale with a wide range of summer clothes, bags, shoes, handbags and bric-a-brac all for just 50p each. Plus there will be a limited selection of summer jackets for just £2.

Christine Edwardson, Community Fundraiser for Wigan and Leigh Hospice, said: "We are very excited to be holding our first Farmers Market this weekend. We've had a fantastic response from stall holders, so we will have a wide range of stalls and lots of wonderful goods from local producers so please come along and show your support."

Kate Gaynor, Retail Manager, said: "We are very excited about our second jumble sale on Sunday. We have loads of great quality clothes for sale at super low prices so don't miss out…come along and grab that bargain."
