Shop with Wigan & Leigh Hospice

The hospice runs 13 shops across the borough and an online Etsy shop which accepts and resells goods donated by members of the local community.

The shops are run and managed by a team of more than 400 dedicated volunteers. This helps to keep our running costs down and means more funds go directly towards patient care.

In 2015, our shops generated over £1million in income. So, every item you donate or buy really does make a difference.

Furniture donations

We love your pre-loved goods!

Rather than throw away your used or unwanted goods why not have a good clear-out and donate them to the Hospice instead? It's good for the environment and good for your local Hospice. Even if you don't want an item you never know what someone else might just want to buy.

If you know someone who is having a clear-out please encourage them to donate their pre-loved goods to the Hospice or organise a Donation Day when you offer to collect unwanted items from friends or colleagues.

High quality & unused items

For those looking for a bargain we often have donations of items made by top brand names and some still with the labels attached so it's worth heading down to see what we have to offer at some great prices. We welcome all your donations.

Where to take your donations

Please take your unwanted items to one of our charity shops, where one of our volunteers will be pleased to receive them. Please can you make sure that any goods are clean and, where appropriate, in working order.

Etsy and Bygone Times

If we receive collectable or specialist items we sell them on our online Etsy shop or on our stall at Bygone Times, in Eccleston, which sells collectables.

We also have a small shop in our reception area here at the Hospice selling new items. These change on a regular basis so it's worth popping in from time to time. At Christmas time we have a lovely range of tree decorations, gifts and Hospice Christmas cards.

Find your nearest shop

For locations and best places to park and unload please click on your local shop on the right-hand side of this page. Collections and deliveries of larger items -such as furniture can be arranged. Please telephone the hospice on 01942 525566 to arrange a collection. Find out more about which items we sell and which we unfortunately cannot accept.

Opening Times

Our shops all all open Monday to Friday, generally between the hours of 9.30am and 3.30am although some may open earlier and close later. They are also open on Saturday mornings and, although opening and closing times are different across the shops, all are open between core hours of 10am and 12pm.

All our shops are run by volunteers who may, from time to time, need to close the shop a little earlier than usual. If you have any queries about opening times or other shop related questions please contact the Hospice and ask for the Retail Team.

How to become a volunteer

We are always looking for new volunteers for our shops or to help out in the Hospice. Our volunteers find they can make new friends, learn new skills and enjoy a rewarding experience by helping the Hospice. You can get more information here.
