Wigan and Leigh Hospice uses door to door fundraising, which is a very effective way to promote our lottery.
Our Hospice Lottery is really important as it gives us a regular income we can rely on.
It means we have more freedom to plan our services in order to ensure we are there for the people of Wigan and Leigh who need hospice care.
Last year, Hospice Lottery players raised £328,000. This was enough to fund over 700 days of individual patient care on our Inpatient Unit.
If you join our members you will be helping to ensure local people with incurable illnesses get the support and care they need.
Who are your door to door canvassers?
We use professional agency - SEC Fundraising – so we can reach more potential lottery members within our community.
All fundraisers carry an identification badge, including the fundraiser’s name, photo and ID number.
Our canvassers are pictured below but if you are unsure about whether or not a fundraiser is legitimate, please contact our Fundraising and Lottery Team Monday-Friday, 8.30am – 4pm or email email@example.com.
How do I stop canvassers calling?
If you would rather not hear from us, please let us know and we can request that your address is added to the ‘no call lists’.
You may also wish to contact Wigan Council to enquire about receiving a ‘no cold calling’ window sticker from them.
