Wigan & Leigh Hospice is a registered charity serving people across the Wigan borough who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting illness. We believe passionately in providing care suited to every patient’s unique needs. Every day of the year we provide outstanding palliative and end-of-life care, helping our patients to live well for as long as possible.
We provide a wide range of services to patients in their own homes, helping them remain in the place they feel most comfortable.
Our team of community Hospice Nurse Specialists offers expert support with symptom control and pain management, while our Hospice in Your Home team provides hands-on practical care.
These services are available seven days a week, 365 days a year.
We admit more than 250 people every year into our 14-bed Inpatient Unit.
Patients have access to their own individual room, each of which can directly access our beautiful hospice gardens. Often patients are referred to the Inpatient Unit for a short stay to get their symptoms under control, before returning to their own home.
Get involved and help people in your community living with a life-limiting illness.
