Wigan & Leigh Hospice relies on the support of our community across the borough.
As a registered charity, we need to raise £13,000 every day to continue providing our services.
Each year, we care for over 1,400 local people living with life-limiting or terminal illnesses – and we’re here for the people close to them too.
Three of our wonderful volunteers – Vicky from Sri Lanka, and Liubov and Viktoriia from Ukraine, are volunteers at our charity superstore on Robin Retail Park. Here, they tell us how their volunteering roles have supported them to not only develop their English language skills, but to make friends in their local area too.
June lives with MND and has received assistance from both our Hospice in your Home and complementary therapy team here at the hospice for two years. Here, June shares her story with the help of her husband, Colin.
