Volunteer at our shops

All of our shops are run entirely by volunteers who give their time freely to help the hospice. Tasks such as opening and closing the shop, working on the till, helping customers, sorting donations, cleaning and tidying, are typical of charity shop work.

The minimum we ask is one morning or afternoon each week, which is typically around three hours. Some volunteers work several days a week but this is down to the individual and how much time they would like to give.

Volunteering is a mutually rewarding experience: we need volunteers to keep our shops open and our volunteers find that they can make new friends, learn new skills and gain a sense of achievement.
