We recognise that those people close to our patients need support too.
The Carer Support Needs Assessment (CSNAT) is a short and simple assessment which helps us to understand what support you need.
The CSNAT look at 14 areas in which people caring for someone with life-limiting illness commonly need help.
You may find that in completing the assessment you identify other areas of support you did not realise you needed. This may be support in caring for your loved one or in maintaining your own health and wellbeing.
Once your loved one is accessing hospice services you will be offered the chance to complete a CSNAT and review it with hospice staff.
Once you’ve done this there may be hospice services you can be referred to. Additionally, we may be able to direct you to other charities and organisations which may be able to help you.
