Our funding
Providing specialist hospice care is only possible because of the generosity of our local community.
We receive just over one third of the funding we need from the NHS. The remaining two thirds must be raised through donations, fundraising, our shops, our lottery and gifts in wills.
Every day we need to raise £13k from the local community to keep our services running.
Where our income comes from
Our income comes from two main sources:
- NHS funding
Provides just over one third of the funding needed to deliver our services. - Community support
The majority of our funding comes from people who choose to support the hospice through:
- Donations: one‑off or regular gifts.
- Fundraising: events, challenges and community activities.
- Charity shops: every purchase helps fund care.
- Lottery: weekly entries supporting patient care.
- Gifts in wills: lasting support for future care.
- Corporate partnerships: local businesses making a difference.
Where your money goes
Every pound raised helps fund specialist care for people across the borough – from inpatient care and community nursing to bereavement support and family services.
Your donations, fundraising, purchases and lottery entries all contribute directly to patient care.
