Manchester Marathon 2027

Take on the Manchester Marathon for Wigan & Leigh Hospice

The iconic Manchester Marathon returns on 18 April 2027, and you can be part of it by running for Wigan & Leigh Hospice.

Known as the flattest marathon in the UK, it’s the perfect opportunity to chase a personal best while supporting local hospice care.

We have a limited number of free charity places available for supporters who want to join Team Wigan & Leigh. You’ll also receive a complimentary Wigan & Leigh Hospice running vest or t‑shirt to wear proudly on the day.

Fundraising

By running for Wigan & Leigh Hospice, you’ll be helping us continue providing specialist care to people in our community.

Supporters taking a hospice place are asked to commit to raising a minimum of £600.

We know this is a big challenge, and we’re here to help. We can provide collection tins, buckets, sponsorship forms, fundraising advice, and more. Supporters with a personal connection to the hospice are especially encouraged to apply.

Important information

To secure your place, you must register by Friday 28 February 2027 and have raised at least £400 by that date.

Please note that places are not transferable.

Places are extremely limited, so registering interest does not guarantee a place.
