Over the past 18 years, the hospice has been incredibly fortunate to receive outstanding support from Fire Service Officer John Dixon and his dedicated team at Wigan Council. Their kindness, professionalism, and ongoing commitment have made a meaningful difference to our hospice community.
John and his team have continually supported us by providing essential fire alarm services and related works, contributing support valued at many thousands of pounds – all generously carried out free of charge. Their expertise and willingness to help have ensured that our hospice remains a safe and welcoming environment for patients, families, and staff.
Most recently, the team completed further vital works at the hospice, including wiring projects valued at approximately £3,000. These improvements are not only greatly appreciated, but also help us direct more of our resources towards what matters most: providing compassionate care and support to those who need it most.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Wigan Council, and in particular to John and his team, for their continued dedication and generosity. Their support helps us in ways that would otherwise be extremely costly, and we are truly thankful for their ongoing commitment to the hospice.
