Unique hospice rugby shirt

19 March 2012

Thanks to the very kind support of Leigh Centurions, the Hospice have a uniquely designed shirt which will be worn by the team on their Good Friday match.

Leigh Centurions are using 'flower power' to raise money for the Wigan & Leigh Hospice. For the first time, there will also be a unique, trendy ladies shirt. So you can look fantastic in a 'his 'n hers' combination.

Advance orders are necessary, as a strictly limited number of these collector's item replica shirts are being produced on a pre-order basis.

Centurions Chief Executive Trevor Barton MBE said, "Almost everyone in Leigh knows someone who has been cared for by Wigan & Leigh Hospice which relies heavily on public donations, to provide their specialist care to hundreds of new patients every year."

The special shirt, which will be worn by all the Leigh team on Good Friday, features the Hospice daisy logo within red hoops which links the design to a traditional Leigh jersey.

Trevor added, "This is the first time the club has commissioned a charity shirt because the Hospice do such fantastic work in our community we are delighted to help in this way. I'm sure our fans will show their support for the cause by buying the shirts and I hope this is an initiative we can repeat in years to come."

The design will be worn just once by the team and they will then be auctioned to further help the Hospice.
