Dedicate a light on our Christmas Tree to mark the lives of those you love or have loved.
Anyone can dedicate a light on our tree to remember the life of someone special or to mark a joyful event, such as a wedding or birth. You may wish to make a dedication in hope or to say thanks for someone you love. Your dedication can be made to anyone, whether or not either of you have a connection to the hospice.
It’s a simple and moving way of remembering those you love or have loved at Christmas time. You can also dedicate a light to give thanks, in hope or to celebrate good news, such as a wedding or birth.
This year we will hold a switch-on ceremony at the hospice. We are really looking forward to having you back at the hospice.
We will have readings, Christmas music, brass band music and you’ll be able to buy gifts, enjoy a mince pie and make your Light for a Life dedication if you haven’t already done so.
This year the lights will be switched on by hospice nurse specialists Lisa Taylor and Andrea Smith.
The service will start at 6.30pm and finish at 7pm. Visitors are welcome inside the hospice both before and after the service to make dedications and enjoy refreshments.
Please use public transport or park in Hindley if possible. We expect the hospice car park and the car park at St Peter’s School to be very busy.
Dedications can be made until the twelfth day after Christmas.
