Dedicate a light on our Christmas Tree to mark the lives of those you love or have loved.
Anyone can dedicate a light on our tree to remember the life of someone special or to mark a joyful event, such as a wedding or birth. You may wish to make a dedication in hope or to say thanks for someone you love. Your dedication can be made to anyone, whether or not either of you have a connection to the hospice.
It’s a simple and moving way of remembering those you love or have loved at Christmas time. You can also dedicate a light to give thanks, in hope or to celebrate good news, such as a wedding or birth.
Everyone is welcome to attend our switch-on ceremony. A short service of about 30 minutes will be held at the hospice in featuring Christmas Carols, hymns and readings. Local schoolchildren will sing and the lights on our beautiful Christmas Tree will be switched-on.
This is a special and moving ceremony which many people find comfort in. Please just turn up – there is no need to book.
Dedications can be made from October until the twelfth day after Christmas.
