Shop assistants at the Wigan and Leigh Hospice shop on Gathurst Lane held a Buy Me Now day on Monday, September 15, when they modelled donated clothes for sale.
Customers were able to buy the outfit worn by the shop assistants who quickly changed into another outfit once sold.
The final total was boosted by a sale of homemade cakes and fresh flowers in the shop while a beautician and hairdresser accepted donations for manicures and hair styling.
A grand total of £1,021 was raised on the day.
Retail Assistant Barbara Holme said: "Everyone was feeling a little unsure about whether it would be as successful as last year and if anyone would come but we needn't have worried as the good people of Shevington came out to support us. We managed to beat last year's total and had a great time as well.
"I am so grateful to our volunteers who week in week out work so hard to keep the shop running and yet still have the drive and enthusiasm to help out at special events. Our thanks go to each and everyone who supported the event."
The Hospice relies on donations from local residents and around 400 volunteers who run all of the shops including the Ebay shop.
