Floral art evening to support Hospice

22 September 2015

Sweet smelling bouquets will welcome visitors to Wigan Floral Art Club’s open evening on Wednesday 30th September.

A feature demonstration by Susan Davies, NAFAS member (National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies), entitled 'Dream A Little Dream', will be the highlight of the night at St. Michael's Parochial Hall in Swinley from 7.15pm.

The evening will also raise money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice through ticket sales and a raffle.

Anne Jackson, Secretary of Wigan Floral Art Club, said: "Our club is all about having fun with flowers and celebrating the enjoyment that flowers bring.

"We hope that lots of people will come along to our open evening to watch the demonstrations and pick up some tips for their own arrangements.

"It will also be a great opportunity to come and support Wigan and Leigh Hospice, who we also support through donating flower arrangements all year round."

Tickets for Wigan Floral Art Club's open evening cost £8 and are available from Susan Gallear on 07703 611998 or pay on the door.

Wigan Flower Club meets every third Wednesday of the month at St. Michael's Church Hall on Shaw Street, Swinley, from 7pm. New members are always welcome.
