WIGAN manufacturer C-TEC has given a donation of £1,200 to Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

Firm's donation to Hospice

The hospice was selected as the firm's charity for 2016/17 and over the last 12 months staff have been busy organising a range of fundraising activities.

Christine Brown, a production operative for C-TEC, said: "We have a non-uniform day the last Friday of every month, we do raffles and football cards. The Hospice does a lot of good work - my friend was in a few years ago and when I went to visit they were smashing. I'm really pleased with how much we've raised."

C-TEC on Martland Mill Business Park manufactures a range of life safety systems, including fire alarms, extinguisher systems and more.

Hospice community fundraiser, Christine Edwardson, said: "C-TEC has regularly supported Wigan and Leigh Hospice so I would like to thank them not only for this generous donation but for all of their support over the years.
"This kind gesture will go towards ensuring the hospice continues to care for local people with life-limiting illnesses and those people close to them."
