20 April 2017

FRESH produce will be on sale on Sunday May 7th at the second Farmers Market to be held at Wigan and Leigh Hospice.

The hospice grounds will transform into a market place, offering local families a great day out, while raising money for the hospice.

Around 30 market stalls selling goodies including fresh meats, fruit, vegetables, plants, cheeses, jams, cakes, black pudding and sweets will be there, as well as other games and activities such as a face painter, raffles and tombola.

Hot and cold refreshments including pizzas, pancakes, hot dogs and coffee will also be available for visitors to enjoy on the day. A range of stalls selling gifts and crafts including cards, bath bombs, hair accessories, toys, candles, pet treats and lots more will all be there.

Katie Stevenson, Community Fundraiser for Wigan and Leigh Hospice, said: "We had a fantastic response to our Farmers Market last year so we're hoping this time around even more people will come to support us. There will be wide range of stalls selling delicious fresh goods from local producers as well as crafts, gifts, games and lots more so there will be something for everyone to enjoy."

The Farmers Market takes place between 9am and 3pm at Wigan and Leigh Hospice on Kildare Street in Hindley.
