About the role
We require an approachable and friendly individual who ensures confidentiality and respect whilst being an excellent communicator.
The role is varied and can involve daily tasks such as delivering samples/collecting supplies at Wigan Infirmary as required, collecting/delivering fundraising items, collecting donated food along with any other driving duties as requested by different departments within the hospice using a hospice van. You must have a full drivers licence and be over the age of 25 to apply for this role. A standard DBS check will also be carried out.
The shift we are recruiting for is on a Tuesday from 10.30am until 3.00pm approx, working alongside another volunteer driver, with cover for other weekdays if available.
All staff and volunteers are expected to demonstrate the hospice values; Compassion, Accessibility, Respect, Excellence.
