If you make a donation and you tell us that you pay tax in the UK we can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you give. It won’t cost you a penny more!
Donating through the Gift Aid scheme means charities can claim Gift Aid from the Government on most donations.
What you need to do
You need to make a Gift Aid declaration so that we can claim Gift Aid. You can do this if you download a form and post it back to us or hand it into one of our shops.
Paying enough tax to qualify for Gift Aid
Your donations will qualify as long as they’re not more than 4 times what you have paid in tax in that tax year (6 April to 5 April).
With Gift Aid….
- A donation of £50 becomes £62.50 which pays for a counselling session
- A donation of £40 becomes £50 which pays for a home visit from a Hospice In Your Home nurse
- A donation of £80 becomes £100 which pays for a home visit from a Hospice Nurse Specialist
- A donation of £90 becomes £112.50 which pays for an overnight stay at a patient’s home
