Volunteer Kitchen Assistant
We are looking for Volunteer Kitchen Assistant to support the Hospice Catering Team.
About us
Wigan and Leigh Hospice is a well-established charity which has been operating since 1983. We provide a wide range of palliative care services to people with advancing life-limiting illnesses of any diagnosis and to those people important to them. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals’ physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs
Many services provided by Wigan & Leigh Hospice are dependent on the goodwill of our generous volunteers.
About the role
We require approachable and friendly individuals who ensure confidentiality and respect, whilst being an excellent communicator.
The role is varied and can involve daily tasks such as assisting in the general cleaning and tidying of the kitchen, washing of crockery using the commercial dishwasher, cleaning of machines, catering equipment, furniture, fittings and food trolleys after each meal.
The shift we are needing to fill is on a Friday, from 8.30am until 1.30pm.
