BRING A LITTLE MAGIC

PATIENTS will be able to see sparkling Christmas Trees from their rooms at Wigan and Leigh Hospice over the festive season.

The gardens at the hospice on Kildare Street in Hindley will be filled with 60 Christmas Trees covered in glittering lights as part of 5000 Lights.

Each 5000 Lights tree will feature a plaque dedicated to a loved one or a message and logo from a business in support of the hospice.

Sophie Cannon, Fundraising Manager, said: “Last year we had 30 trees in our gardens and they looked beautiful but we’re doubling that this year. It will be a stunning display which we hope will bring a little magic to our patients and their loved ones during an incredibly difficult time.”

The hospice first did 5000 Lights in 2019 to give the gift of Christmas to patients living with incurable illnesses.

Every patient bedroom has patio doors looking out onto the gardens so all patients will be able to see the display throughout December.

Sponsorship is £200 per tree and can be secured by contacting the hospice on 01942 525566, emailing: fundraising@wlh.org.uk or visiting 5000 Lights.

Members of the public will be able to visit the hospice to see 5,000 Lights on December 4th when the hospice holds a Christmas Fayre from 12noon until 6pm. The 5000 Lights will be on until January 5th.
