Club digs deep for the hospice

Higher Ince Labour Club raised the sum at a charity night held on April 2nd when singers The Maloney Brothers performed as well as band In At The Deep End who performed a wide selection from Motown to showaddywaddy.

Raffles held on the night, bingo and games helped the Anderton Street club reach their final total.

Club Secretary, Marion Baldwin, said: "When we are raising money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice people are always so very generous. I think a lot of people who come to the club know somebody who has been looked after by the hospice."

The club also held an Easter Raffle for the Hospice which raised a further £100.
