Hospice on lookout for Farmers Market stalls

30 March 2016

Stall holders selling fruit, veg, eggs, potatoes, plants and flowers are being invited to come and sell their produce at Wigan and Leigh Hospice’s first ever Farmers Market on Sunday 8th May.

On the same day, the Hospice's retail team will hold a Summer Jumble Sale, with summer clothes and shoes for men, women and children, as well as bags, toys, jewellery and bric-a-brac on sale, all priced at just 50p.

Both events will take place at the Hospice on Kildare Street in Hindley, with the Farmers Market from 9am until 3pm and the Summer Jumble Sale from 10am until 2pm. There will also be a raffle and refreshments available on the day.

Farmers Market stalls costs £20, with all proceeds going to support the Hospice.

Christine Edwardson, Community Fundraiser for Wigan and Leigh Hospice, said: "We are very excited to be holding our first Farmers Market in May. It will be a great event with people coming from across Wigan and Leigh.

"We are looking for local food producers and flower sellers to come along and support the Hospice by taking a stall and selling their goods. With the Summer Jumble Sale too, there will be something for everyone and it will be a great day out for the whole family."
